If I drove my Honda Civic to the solstice gathering it would pass 330000 miles. I'd rather not risk it. I'd like to bring a friend who was a member of the commune that started the alternative school my granddaughter attends in Portland and has directed her after school program there for almost twenty years. His car is in similar shape. He may buy a new car before then, but that's not a sure bet. I also have tools and a great source for building materials that would be hard to take on the bus. If nothing works out, I'll be looking for a ride from the Hound station in Weed. Driving to Etna or Callahan might also be possible.
Please let me know if you've got space and are driving south or driving up from I-5 for the weekend.
